digital peacebuilding

Technological Innovations for 21st Century Problems

About

Digital Peacebuilding examines the ways that technology (e.g., artificial intelligence, virtual reality, cryptocurrencies, surveillance technologies, crowdsourcing, and information and communication technologies) affect peacebuilding (e.g., economic development, elections, environment, peacekeeping, and policing) and can be better designed to harness their potential.

The Policy Briefs, Videos, Presentations, and so forth, have been produced by MPA students at the Watson Institute at Brown University in an eponymously named course taught by Dawn Brancati, as well as students at Yale University in a course called “Democracy in the Digital Age,” also taught by Dawn Brancati in cooperation with Google Jigsaw and the Yale Department of Political Science.
